Mrs. Joan Edward Kirk, age 53, of Marietta, GA, passed away June 6, 2010. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Kennesaw, GA with Pastor Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Kirk was a native of West Virginia and was a homemaker. Surviving are husband, W. David Kirk, Marietta, GA; sons, Casey Bonvillian, Mason Kirk, both Marietta, GA; daughter, Keely Watkins, Decatur, GA; brothers, Steven Age, Woodstock, GA and Willard Age Jr., Acworth, GA; sister, Jo Ellen Peacock, Plymouth, FL; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday June 8, 2010 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA, (770) 422-7299.

We were so sorry to hear of Joanie's passing as we were not aware of her problems. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of such a dear loved one. Mother loved her so much and appreciated the caring person that she was to her. Mason, I am thinking you and know that it is very hard to lose your mother. She loved you and I know you will miss her so much. May the Lord bring comfort and strength to all of you as you grieve this sad time. We send our love to you all.
