Word gradually leaked out that Lucy McBee, much loved speech pathologist with Marietta City Schools, married longtime Marietta resident Randy Kendrick on May 15. Lucy made a stunning bride in a simple light lime silk dress.

The wedding took place on the deck of her home with her children, Catherine McBee, a recent graduate of Kennesaw State University, and Rush McBee, a sophomore at Georgia Southern University, along with her mother and brother. Randy's daughter and her husband, Stacey and Vince Rogers, attended, as did Randy's mother, the widow of Ed Kendrick, who was well-known for his community work.

Judge Adele Grubbs officiated. On May 23, Lucy and Randy attended First Baptist Church, where Lucy told her Sunday school class the good news.
