School board makes key promotion in secret ...
FUDGEcycle wrote - Who knows what else has been done behind our backs, that we don't know about!
Opal P wrote - The feeling of hopelessness is what is driving all crazy! Please someone tell us what action can we take NOW!
Phil G wrote - When a football team stinks, it is usually the coach that is fired, not all the players. It appears to me that all the coaches that got us in this mess are staying and the players who were doing as they were told are being fired. It appears to be backwards! How many players make up one coach's salary?
Murdock Parent wrote - Does anyone else see the nepotism here? Deputy Superintendent Dr. Steve Constantino oversees the manager who his wife directly reports to? In any other decent size corporation in the public sector this would NEVER be allowed due to the obvious conflict of interest. Only in a government-managed outfit like this could someone get away with this.
Frustrated Parent wrote - Unionize the teachers to stop the power.
More Lies wrote - I may not be a psychic, but my intuition says ... enjoy your paychecks now as I foresee a whole new board along with an entire new staff of leaders. I personally hope I get called for jury duty on this one! Do NOT lie as liars always get caught!
Rrctman wrote - Can you say "Pending investigation from the grand jury"? This is exactly what the grand jury admonished the board for not informing the public. Let's see what happens. They should all go to jail for violating laws.
Havana Daydreamin' wrote - I bet Constantino gets a raise or at least a bonus after the teachers get yet another pay cut after the budget/salary schedule hearings on May 27 and June 2. Remember last year when all the teacher's pay got cut and Sanderson accepted his $25K raise?
Ron Burgandy wrote - WHAT? The Cobb School Board voting in secret? Astounding!!
Proves a point wrote - By not hiring someone to take Dr. Gordon Pritz's job and by redistributing his duties, the board of education just proved they have too many people doing too little work. I bet they could eliminate many more of the suits and save teachers instead.
COBBOLDSCHOOL wrote - As a long time teacher in Cobb, let me say this mess we have is not Superintendent Fred Sanderson's fault. He is playing the hand dealt to him by our state government, who sends $75 million a year out to the country to run small school systems and a declining tax base here in Cobb. Everytime Fred makes a move the MDJ puts it on the front page and parents think they should have had a say in what was done. Parents, forget running the school system and raise your kids, I see them everyday and you're not doing a very good job!! What makes you think you can run a school system when your kids need all the free time you have!!
Anonymous wrote - So they did it in secret because they didn't want any negative feedback? When you have to do something in secret, you know you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
The Jessica Colotl case ...
Daveyy wrote - By the by, drop, please share with everyone why you think a law that requires persons visiting the U.S. or attempting to take up residence in the U.S. to notify U.S. of their presence and thie intentions is morally reprehensible? Tell everyone why a law the lets the U.S. regulate its borders is morally corrupt. Many countries of the world regulate not only their borders but the flow of bodies into and out of their borders. Are you against the laws for all of these countries or just the U.S.? Do you rally against Mexico for having much more stringent laws in regards to their borders, particularly their southern border?
Gotcha! wrote - "I never thought that I was going to be caught." You can run but you cannot (intentionally, unlawfully) hide: I hope you are the first one of many more to come!
Warren Prez wrote - Put someone effective in charge of 'The System' and it will work. The perception will be as good as the message if Sheriff Neil Warren is in charge. Just need people with strong work ethics to make it work!
Take Back wrote - It is much harder to play on a child's recreation sports team than it is to be admitted to KSU, receive welfare, healthcare or employment. I know that as far back as the 1980s, children who played baseball, football and soccer on a private league in elementary school, had to submit a CERTIFIED birth certificate with the seal to prove their age or they did NOT play.
