James Nelson McPherson, 82, left this life on May 11, 2010. He was the son of Horace A. & Mamie Sue Owen McPherson, and the grandson of A. A. (Gus) & Mertice Dunn McPherson and Tom & Julia Hairston Owen, all of Cobb County. He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, his five children, 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 3 Step Grandchildren. Visitation will be at H. M. Patterson Funeral Home, Canton Hill, May 13, 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral services will be May 14 at 11 am at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
