Thomas Marc East III was born on May 5, 1950. Marc, as he was known, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. A resident of Marietta, he never forgot his "Cajun roots." Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta with Rev. Michael Sherliza officiating. Marc is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; three stepdaughters, Alissa (Mike) Bussie, and Raychelle McFann, Amber Robin; stepson, Patrick (Crystal) McFann and grandchildren, Andrew McFann, Jasmine McFann, and Ella Bussie, his stepmother, Gladys East, three brothers, Michael (Brenda), Brent (Donna), Bryan (Leigh Ann); numerous nephews and nieces, Michael East, Jr. (Mickey), Holly East (Joey), Nicole Patin (Travis), Monica Duplechin (Ryan), Jordan East, Bryan East, Jr., Seth Patin, Lane Patin, and Hunter Duplechin, Brandon McKay. Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Tom, Jr. and Helen Robicheaux East, his paternal grandparents, Tom, Sr. and Laurence Guidry East, and his maternal grandparents, David and Bernadette Lagrange Robicheaux. Pallbearers will be Michael East, Brent East, Bryan East, Michael Bussie, Jack Goble, and Jonathan Holmes. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Cobb County Unit, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd. #280, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with a 7:30 prayer service.
