Sponsored by the Marietta Welcome Center & Visitors Bureau in conjunction with the City of Marietta, the award-winning family festival was attended by more than 100,000 last year. Because of continued popularity, Taste will encompass the entire Marietta Square on Sunday to accommodate the anticipated crowd.
"I think the longevity of Taste of Marietta is directly related to the quality of restaurants and exhibitors we have," said Marietta Welcome Center Executive Director Theresa Jenkins.
More than 70 area restaurants will showcase their best dishes for tasting at costs from 50 cents to $4.
But there's more on the plate besides the food, according to Jenkins. "There are always lots of fun activities from Sports Corner to Kids' Alley. This year, the SCANA Energy Cooking Stage will showcase local celebrity judges Johnnie Gabriel, Sam Huff and Ginny McCormick," she said.
Entertainment is also provided throughout the day on four stages situated throughout the festival area culminating with a Sunset Concert featuring Banks & Shane on the Main Stage. Reserve concert tables for the Sunset Concert by calling the Marietta Welcome Center at (770) 429-1115 or bring blankets for a picnic in the park.
Parking is available at the Cobb County Parking Deck on Cherokee Street or any lots around the Square. Additional parking is available at Marietta Middle School and free shuttle provided by the Historic Marietta Trolley Company. There will be no parking in church lots.
