Dr. Robert Bennett Friedman in his own words, "lived a wonderful life." A prankster with an irreverent and endearing sense of humor, Bob skied, ran marathons, competed in triathalons, grew beautiful roses, and always had a book in his big hands. He lived and raised his family in Atlanta but always carried Brooklyn, New York in his heart. For four decades he practiced dentistry in Smyrna, GA. and was an entrepreneur with an incredible imagination. He is survived by his loving wife Judy, his adored children Barri and David Rafferty, Robin and Tom Carroll, and Ellen Friedman: his dear friend and former wife Elaine Gilner Friedman: and his beloved sister Sue-ann Friedman and her husband Michael Finkelstein. He is survived by his caring step-children, Ron and Sue Myers, Carol and Craig Miller, Stephanie and Jimmy Pitts and blessed with nine grandchildren: Aidan, Morgan, Andie, Darby, Jennifer, Michael, James, Chloe and Jude. The Bob Friedman Scholarship for Children With Serious Illnesses has been established. Please send donations to Jordan River Village, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp- 373 Stamford Ave. Stamford, CT. 06902. Bob died as he lived, with dignity and humor on April 15, 2010. Dr.Friedman was our dentist for several years. Our daughter has been a Dental assistant for 27 years

because of him.He made you feel relaxed in his practice. What I remember most was his silk shirts, gold chains and him singing Tom Jones song while he filled your teeth.

I knew Dr Friedman years and years ago---always had a smile and made you feel better--I worked at the bank where he banked--he was a true joy to know.
