Easter Bunny visits Marietta, First Friday draws crowd

The Easter Bunny hopped over to Kennesaw Avenue in Marietta where she was sighted twice before Easter. On April 2, an egg hunt and picnic hosted by Helen Hines and her daughter, Mary Margaret Doyle, was at the Hines' home. The hunt was in the yard of neighbor Bobbi Burruss. Mary Margaret doubled as the bunny that day.

Attendees included: Jack and Beth Bourgeois; Davis and Laurie Clark; Annie and Hart Elliott; Charlotte, Claire and Lisa Leiter; Elizabeth and Susan Matthews; and Jake and Laurie Smith.

The bunny made her rounds again on April 3 at an egg hunt hosted by Brittany and Ben Lowery for friends of their children Caroline and Pres. Grandmother Donya Morris made a great Easter bunny.

Attendees included: Mary Margaret, Elizabeth and Betsy Kelley; Allie, Rhodes and Jamie Patrick; Andrew, Annie Gray, Will, Alli and Thad Penuel; Christopher, Lauren, Melissa and Chris Poston; Webb, Molly and Brandon Scarborough; Lee, Whit and Emilie Smith; Sam, Gracie, Charlie, Stephanie and Matt Swanson; Trey, Rob and Mandy Swartwood; and Virginia, Katie and Jason Waters.

On April 2, the Marietta Square was bustling with folks meandering the streets and enjoying the wonderful Spring-like evening. Dk Gallery was hopping as well. Open for its monthly Jazz Friday as well as First Friday Art Walk, patrons enjoyed a lively evening of live jazz with wine, cheese and a chance to view the art of Susan Easton Burns whose works are inspired by Jackson Pollock, Lucian Freud and Frank Auerbach.

Art lovers included: Molly and Dr. Jack Bickford, Victoria and Joe Chastain, Dot and Bill Dunaway, Debbie Reynolds and Dr. Bill Farrar, Karen and Charlie Hitt, Lisa and Mark Kassoff, Phyllis and Bob Kiser, Michael Leidel, Chris and Lisa Mowry, Lisa and Sam Olens, Joan and Dr. Donny Page, Justin and Kinsey Powell, Bonnie Reavis, Allison Faso and Dr. Todd Thompson, Dr. Bill Walker, and Sandy and Hugh White.

Gallerista Donna Krueger and husband Kerry were also on hand at the event.

Hey, you took pictures at the easter egg hunt at Jim R Miller Park. A couple were of my little girl. I was wondering how to find that article and see if her picture was posted?
