DEAR EDITOR:

I saw the well-written column by Joe Kirby in the March 28 MDJ concerning tort reform and the $350,000 cap on non-economic damages in medical malpractice cases, which was struck down by the Supreme Court of Georgia. There is so much misinformation on the medical malpractice cap issue that the public has been force-fed over the last few years that sometimes I wonder how people are supposed to make an intelligent decision about what is right. Kirby's column shined a light on the subject and gave people a basis for understanding the truth. Keep up the good work!
