Mr. Roy Glenn Moss, age 88, of Powder Springs died March 22, 2010. A memorial Service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Lithia Springs United Methodist Church with Dr. Lawrence Wilson officiating. Survivors include: daughter, Martha (Burt) Van Nouhuys of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Cpl. Glenn Van Nouhuys of USMC (and AS 2 Hope Van Nouhuys of USNavy) of San Diego, CA; Michelle Van Nouhuys of Kennesaw; great grandson, Tristen Nouhuys. Mr. Moss proudly enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 and faithfully served on the battleship U.S.S. Indiana. Following his military commitment, he became the Safety Director for the City of Atlanta retiring in the late 1970's. Following the retirement, he spent many years volunteering with the Veterans Administration. He and his family are members of Lithia Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Moss, a 60 year Mason, in good standing - was also active in Mableton Lodge F&AM, York Rite Masons, Chapter and Council, Low Twelve Club, And Austell Chapter #314 Order of the Eastern Star. Mr. Moss enjoyed his beloved family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Bellamy Funeral Home Powder Springs in charge of arrangements.
