Next time you drive down the road, look around you. You might think you’re seeing people who are too busy to pay attention to what just happened yesterday in Washington.

You might think that woman in a white Honda mommy van is simply that – a mom taking her kids to Chick-Fil-A.

Consider that young college student working at the tanning bed you sneak off to once a week…you might think she’s apolitical, concerned with only her social life or her good looks.

Or that grandmotherly woman who works at your kids’ pre-school? You might think she didn’t notice the trashing of our Constitution by progressive socialists disguised as Democrats.

But she did. They all did.

The glorification of Obama (“Obama works magic behind closed doors” by Ben Feller on page one of today’s MDJ) as well as government workers (“Census workers travel by boat, horse” by Clarke Canfield) might be all over the front pages of our newspapers, but many Americans aren’t fooled. They are newly mobilized patriots because of what’s just transpired, inspired to fight against the takeover of our country by statists who are so determined to redistribute wealth they think nothing of shredding our Constitution to get there.

Isn’t it ironic how the Democrats always say, “Get your laws off my body?” Well what do they think they have just passed?

I might look like just a mom in a van. But I’m an American patriot, fully aware of the bribery, underhanded tactics and dishonor wrought by miserable excuses for Congresspeople making backroom deals over Obama’s takeover of our health.

The young woman at the tanning bed is getting her business degree, and understands the government’s new eight percent tax on the place she works will kill entrepreneurship in this market. She is angry that she has not yet had her chance to succeed, and under the statists things will only get worse for individual small business owners.

The pre-school worker knows the little ones she cares for are already saddled with debt they’ll never see repaid in their lifetimes.

The uncertainty and corruptness of Obama’s change is killing this country, and they all recognize it.

And if you don’t, and if you excuse the way that the Democrats rammed this healthcare bill through against the wishes of most Americans, you deserve what’s coming.

TO SOEJ....WHOSE POLL ARE YOU LOOKING AT? YOU MUST BE ONE OF THE MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS WHO ARE UNINSURED AND ARE LOOKING FOR US TO PAY YOUR BILLS, GUESS WHAT WE'RE TIRED OF IT. I hope that our state becomes one of the many who file lawsuits regarding this stupid bill. When are people going to decide that enough is enough?????

Soej??? Is that a Muslim name by the way? Obama may be President to you, but he is not and never will be to me. It is a shame that ignorant people like you are so shortsighted to recognize the crisis this country is in, and under OBAMA it is only getting worse not better. I don't know what polls you're looking at, maybe the ones that OBAMA's handlers put out, but people were not backing this healthcare fiasco. Also let's not forget that President Bush, spent nowhere near the amount of money that OBAMA has spent in such a short time. It was a sad day in America when OBAMA picked up his pen. He needs to just stick with trying to be a "star" and forget trying to run our nation. He's much better on SNL trying to get laughs.

First, this has nothing whatever to do with former president Bush.

Second, thanks for the comment about the fam, but it was somewhat condescending, wasn't it Oliver? Ooops, I mean Soej.

This is the problem with you liberals. You discount those of us who are moms, regular people and all around caring individuals. You think we don't read, don't understand and will just sit back and take it when our freedoms are infringed upon. Wrongo.

I'm better when I'm passionate about a topic. Not trying to be a national pundit. Just trying to be a Cobb County citizen and good employee of the MDJ. And will continue to write about the Obamanation in the White House. He needs to be reminded that he is the president of this country, not simply the people who agree with his socialistic policies. He also needs to be reminded that the Constitution is forever. His is but a four-year reign.

Laura, you are much better when writing about your marine and the family.

First, the title and name is "President" Obama.

Secondly, you evidently missed a few days because the polls in the last week clearly had the majority in favor of the health care bill. It is time that someone finally had the guts to act on this issue since all administrations since President Nixon have done nothing but talk about an issue that was most important to this country.

Thirdly, since you are discussing the massive debt problem, you have failed to mention that President Bush had the largest non-defense increase in history. Lets be fair to all involved.
