Mr. Michael R. Taylor, age 52 of Smyrna, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with Dr. Steve Kimmel and Rev. Shell Osbon officiating. He attended GA Tech and had been employed as a Civil Engineer. He was active in the Smyrna Little League and a former member of the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. He currently attended the Smyrna Assembly of God Church. Surviving are: wife, Karen Taylor of Smyrna; son, Chris Taylor of Smyrna; daughter, Brittany Taylor of Smyrna; brother, Johnny Taylor of Chatsworth; sister, Terry DePratter of Brunswick, GA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 672648, Marietta, GA 30006. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Monday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna.
