At their new location for the past eight months, Bailey's takes care of their clientele with an affordable menu that starts at $3.65 for an entree, topping out at $10. A variety of specials offered daily includes traditional dinner specials for seniors with three sides for $4.99 and worker's meat-and-2 lunch special for $4.99.
"We cater to everyone," said Theresa Taoushiani, who owns the diner with her husband, Zack.
Traditional country favorites such as shrimp, salmon patties and meatloaf are sure to please those who prefer traditional cuisine. The catfish and shrimp dinner specials are offered after 5 p.m. at 99 cents per piece with veggies at $1.50 per side.
If you branch out a little, Greek-born Taoushiani recommends homemade Greek dishes such as moussaka, pasticio or gyros. "I say mine is the best," Taoushiani said. "With Greek cooking, there's no shortcut. Everything we do is from scratch."
Meat lovers can enjoy prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights, along with daily offerings of char-grilled rib eye and T-bone steaks and pure beef burgers. Barbecue pork, chicken and ribs with Taoushiani's special sauce is also a house favorite.
"If people like barbecue, this is the place to come," said Taoushiani, who emigrated to the U.S. from South Africa with her husband who was born in Cyprus.
Bailey's Diner, also known for their affordable breakfast menu, runs specials for seniors at $3.75 that includes eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuit or toast, grits or gravy and a pancake. Sunrise breakfast for others is $3.75 minus the pancake. "It's excellent," she added.
Another of Bailey's most popular dishes is the breakfast Boerewors, homemade South African sausage mixture of beef and pork. "It is delicious," Taoushiani said.
"You got a mixture," she said. "It's a nice little diner, but a little bit of everything, but what we do have is really good."
"It's all homemade. Everything we do is homemade," Taoushiani said.
