Mrs. Charlotte Reynolds Redd, age 79, of Smyrna passed away Tuesday after a 5 year battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna. Burial will be in the Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. A longtime resident of Smyrna, Mrs. Redd was employed by Pugmire Lincoln Mercury before retiring in 1996. She was active with the 82nd Army Signal Corp and was a 1948 graduate of the Cumberland County TN High School. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Redd; son, David Hale, and sister, Grace Ford. Surviving are daughter, Karen Law of Pompano Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge, 2008 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203 or the Glenda Gooch House, P.O. Box 398, Blairsville, GA 30514. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna and the family will receive friends after the service at Mrs. Redd's residence.
