Mrs. Charlotte Reynolds Redd, age 79, of Smyrna passed away Tuesday after a 5 year battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna. Burial will be in the Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. A longtime resident of Smyrna, Mrs. Redd was employed by Pugmire Lincoln Mercury before retiring in 1996. She was active with the 82nd Army Signal Corp and was a 1948 graduate of the Cumberland County TN High School. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Redd; son, David Hale, and sister, Grace Ford. Surviving are daughter, Karen Law of Pompano Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna and the family will receive friends after the service at Mrs. Redd's residence.
