Ben G. Larkey, 76, of Hiltons, VA, formerly of Marietta, GA, died Friday, February 19, 2010, after an apparent heart attack. He had been employed with IBM Corp. in Kingsport, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, and Atlanta, GA, retiring in 1991. In retirement he worked part-time for Southern Raised Printing Co, Marietta. Surviving are his wife, Ann McMurray Larkey; daughter, Ginger Larkey; son, David Larkey; brother, Hugh C. Larkey and wife, Mary, Athens, GA; sister, Harriett Phlegar and husband, Bob, Signal Mountain, TN. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 13, at 2:00 p.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 505 Powers Ferry Road, Marietta, with Rev. Fritz Bogar officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
