Mrs. Agnes Childers, age 88, of Kennesaw, died Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, where she was in the Happy Hearts Choir, and was Past Matron of the Powder Springs Chapter #493 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Childers retired from Cotton States Mutual Insurance Company as a data processing supervisor. She was also very active in the Powder Springs Senior Citizens Center. Survived by son, Radford "Bob" and Brenda Childers of Kennesaw; daughter, Brenda and Winfred Kinsey of White; sister-in-law, Louise Bailey of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Valerie Childers, Matthew Childers, Jeff and Vanessa Kinsey, Christopher and Megan Kinsey, and Mike and Melissa Shaw; seven great grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan and Madeline Shaw, Logan and Laurel Kinsey, and Leila, and Peyton Kinsey; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 14th, 2 PM, at the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs with Rev. Alan Davis and Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Interment will be in Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 to 8 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and Crematory, Austell. I send my sincerest condolences to your family. May you gain comfort in knowing that Jehovah God promise a wonderful hope of a resurrection for loved ones at Acts 24:15.

Agnes was always a good neighbor. But more than anything, I remember her dedication to Billy. She knew what true devotion and love meant.
