David Neil Desautels, Sr., 70, of Acworth died Thursday, March 4, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 Saturday morning in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with the Rev. John Matejek officiating. Interment Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL. A Vermont native, Mr. Desautels served his country in the U S Army and retired with the rank of Tech Sergeant from the U S Air Force. He was a member of VFW Post 5408 in Acworth and the American Legion Post 29 in Marietta. He was also a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association Division 452 in Marietta, and the Naval Air Station Yacht Club. He is survived by his wife, Annette Desautels of Acworth; daughter, Suzanne Blanchard of Stockbridge; son, David Neil Desautels, Jr. of; grandchildren, Krissan Blanchard, Gaaron Blanchard, Andrew B. Blanchard, and Michael Desautels; mother, Irene Eva Desautels of Denver, CO; brothers, Jeffrey Desautels of Denver, CO, Lawrence Desautels, Buffalo, NY, and Steve Desautels of Highland Ranch, CO; several nieces and nephews.
