Horace Wayman Ayers, 86, of Marietta, GA, passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home. Born August 21, 1923, in Carnesville, GA, he was the son of the late Buren Dorse "B.D." and Charlotte Blyth Loggins Ayers. He was the brother of the late Branson, Buren, Herman, and Tommy Ayers and the late Clemmie Carson and the late Bertie Mae Thomason. He was a pipefitter and a member of the Steamfitters and Plumbers Local 72. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include; his wife, Martha Alley Perteet Ayers; one son, Horace W. Ayers, Marietta, GA; one daughter, Barbara Ann Wilson, Marietta, GA; one sister, Helen Knowlton, Lavonia, GA. Graveside services will be Friday afternoon at 2pm at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Carson officiating. The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
