Jay Dillon, district spokesman, said Friday that Robinson was reassigned to Kennesaw Mountain High School. The counselor, who was supposed to return to school Feb. 16, had been waiting to hear from the district to be reassigned to a new school because his bond condition did not allow him to return to Lassiter.
Cobb Police arrested Robinson on Dec. 19 and charged him with sexual battery. He still faces that misdemeanor charge in state court. However, the school board voted 4-2 last week to reinstate Robinson, after a tribunal of three school board members, with one member dissenting, found insufficient evidence to fire Robinson.
"He will fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a school counselor," Dillon said of Robinson's new position at Kennesaw Mountain. "He'll sit down Monday morning with the principal and area superintendent and they will figure out what that will involve."
Robinson could not be reached for comment Friday evening. However, his attorney, Warren Fortson of Atlanta, said he was delighted to hear of Robinson's reinstatement.
"I can't speak for him, but I'm sure he'll do a good job no matter where they put him," Fortson said. "And again, I'm just sorry he wasn't put back at Lassiter."
As for Robinson's criminal case, Fortson said he spoke to the district attorney's office on Friday morning and they said they were reviewing all of the information from the school board's tribunal hearing.
Fortson said he felt confident that the criminal charges on Robinson would be dropped.
"I feel quite sure they'll drop the charges," the attorney said. "The man hasn't done anything; the evidence shows he hasn't done anything."
Solicitor General Barry Morgan said Wednesday that Robinson's arraignment was originally set for Friday, but has been postponed to April 19 because of the continuing investigation. State Court Judge Toby Prodgers will preside over the arraignment, at which time Robinson can enter a plea. The judge will also set the trial date.
Robinson has been out on paid leave since he was arrested.

Especially you John C. Calhoun. You believe he did it based on what? Lemme take a guess. Nothing.
Leave your knee-jerk reactions at the door people, you are all officially making Cobb County stupider by living here.
