Bernard "Nut Roll" Owens, age 55, of Marietta, died February 7th, 2010. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2 p.m. from Hanley-Shelton Chapel. Interment Mt. Harmony Cemetery, Mableton. He is survived by wife, Phyllis Owens; 4 daughters, Kimberly Scott, Teniel Owens, Melissa Owens, Tiffany Owens; 11 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Faye Goolsby, Beverly Ann Owens and Cheryl Owens. The family will receive friends Friday, 7 P.M. until 8 P.M. in the Chapel of Hanley-Shelton Funeral Home of Marietta.

It's hard to understand why Nut Roll was taken away from us, but we can find comfort ih knowing we were a special part of such a well-lived life like his. When the Lord called him home , he left a gift of wonderful memories in exchange. God is always in your corner at a time like this and snd so are we. Our prayers are with you and your family.
