Dr. Sharon Lee Brawner, 59, of Kennesaw died Saturday, February 06, 2010. Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Marietta with Rev. Dr. Bill Ross and Rev. Dean Hunter officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery. Dr. Brawner was born in Marietta, Ga. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marietta. Dr. Brawner was a member of Daughters of The American Revolution. She was an educator all her life on elementary and college levels. She received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University, masters from University of South Carolina, and Ph.D. from University of Georgia. She was an avid genealogist covering the Brawner Family History. Survivors include one son, Trey Sealy of Kennesaw; two sisters, Linda Brawner Blanchard and husband, Jim of Kennesaw; Tamara Brawner of Smyrna; two brothers, Felton Brawner and wife, Betty of Marietta, Robert Brawner of Athens; eleven nieces and nephews; two grand-nephews; one grand-niece. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
