I was very shocked to hear about the passing of Bill. I had worked with him for a number of years and I found him to be funny, down to earth, and a very hard worker. Bill was also a very caring person as well. We always called each other "cuz" and thinking back I cannot remember why that even came about. If I got upset about something and talked to Bill about it he would say "now don't get all nervous and jerky about it now". I loved Bill and think the world of Jerri (his lovely wife). God has got him a a wonderful angel today. May You Rest In Peace Bill Scoggins, you are and always will be very loved and thought about.

I just moved to Smyrna and lived next door to Mr.Scoggins in October. It was a privilege to know Bill and stand at our fence in the backyeard and discuss the history of Smyrna and his involvement in the redevelopment of the city. He was a great neighbor and a leader in makeing Smyrna a better place to live! I truly wish I would have met "neighbor Bill" long ago. He will be dearly missed.

He was a dear, sweet man that did so much good for Smyrna. Most of his life was dedicated to the City. He was one of the main players in the redevelopment of the downtown area of Smyrna. Thank you for all of your work!
