EAST COBB – Lassiter High School was placed on lockdown Thursday morning after a report of an attack against a female in Harrison Park, according to Cobb School District spokesman Jay Dillon.

A Lassiter employee said the school has been in lockdown since 10 a.m. Other nearby schools in east Cobb have been placed on alert until the district receives clearance from police, said Dillon. He said police are pursuing a suspect in the area who is on foot.

Its Friday morning, so what happened with this story? Rumors in the area range from the caught a guy wearing a hockey mask to it was a hoax started by the woman accused of domestic violence. MDJ, close the loop on this.

I would rather them overreact however stupid it may seem, then to have them do nothing and a situation create itself due to inaction.
