Mrs. Mary Ferguson, age 85, of Marietta passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday at the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church in Marietta with the Revs' Janice Oglesbee and Vermon Parmer officiating. Entombment will be in the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 P.M. at the Church. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church in Marietta and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Elizabeth Rowe. Surviving are husband, Walter L. Ferguson Jr of Marietta; daughter, Linda Leahmann of Roseville, MI; brother, Billy Dozier of Washington, GA; sister, Mildred Tyler of Tignall, GA; 2 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, 4 great great children. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church,1480 Joyner Ave, Marietta, GA 30060. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 P.M. Saturday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna.
