On Jan. 2, Tim and Joey Minster hosted the Ninth Annual Tweener Party at their Marietta home. The party, usually conducted on the weekend "tween" Christmas and New Year's Day, was delayed this year because of the close proximity of Christmas to the weekend. The party theme was "Come As Your New Year's Resolution." Past themes include Roaring 20s, Redneck and Hollywood.

Invitations are sent to a mixture of the Minsters' friends including Band Boosters, neighbors and St. Ann's Catholic Church.

After getting reacquainted through Facebook, a group of 1983 Campbell High School graduates gathered for an inpromptu reunion at The Tavern on Bells Ferry Road on Jan 2. Thirty, including graduates from other classes, came out to support the band of their classmate Richard Turner and his brother, Brit Turner, called Blackberry Smoke.

Among those attending the word-of-mouth get-together: Jerry Ferguson, Clay Gilstrap, Christa and Ricky Heath, Preston Holcomb, Jody Jackson, Aileen Kronke, Julia Lloyd, Tricia Morris, Sandy Ridgeway, Matt and Carole Sanders, Becky Thurman and Ken Wheeler.
