The Daytimers Birthday Club that meets once a month donates money to an account for special community projects throughout the year. This year, they gave toys to the Toys for Tots campaign at their Christmas dinner.

The club also bought 4 new bicycles, helmets and bike locks for the Women's Extension Center serving women with addiction recovery services. The bicycles will be used for the women to get back and forth to jobs once they have earned the ability to have a job. The bicycles were presented to the center director on Dec. 23 at a dinner prepared by April and Tony Hipps and Carol Ann and John Martin.

The members of the Daytimers Birthday club are: Margaret Adam, Nita Burge, Joanna Conyngham, Glynda Douglass, Jean Gysin, April Hipps, Carol Ann King, Robin Moore, Kathy Norris, Ginny Robinson, Lauren Sinclair, Janice Taylor, Gail Turner and Dorothy Woodruff.

Dec. 19 was filled with Christmas cheer and a chill in the air, as guests arrived at the lovely west Cobb home of Sylvia and Gene Barnes. The annual Christmas party was lively and bright, with the ladies in sequins and sparkling attire while the men sported suits. Beth and Marc Carver, Trisha and Bruce Jacobson, Sandy and Larry Williams and Joann and Tom Dinardo attended the event.
