Democrats' amnesty scheme unconscionable

DEAR EDITOR:
It is appalling that Democrats would introduce legislation to legalize almost 20 million illegal aliens while over 15 million Americans are unemployed at a rate of over 10 percent (Re: D.A. King column, "Warning to Obama: Another amnesty not the answer," Dec. 16). Those most affected by illegal immigration are African-Americans and legal immigrants. The unemployment rate of African-Americans is closing in on 16 percent while legal immigrants' unemployment is also over 10 percent.

Surely, no honest Democrat - or any American - can ignore the reality of the times, and by rewarding illegal aliens with exactly what they demand when they escape capture at our borders, can support this travesty.

One of the main features of the newest amnesty bill in Washington is to end the extremely successful 287(g) program.

Even with the Obama administration's reduced enforcement, the fault of "family separation" if an illegal is deported lies squarely at the feet of the illegals themselves.

As an African-American, I find that the words of the Democratic Party certainly do not match its actions. They say they want Americans back to work, but when they get the opportunity they instead repeat 1986's amnesty scheme. Enforcing immigration laws would ensure that jobs go to American workers.

It is unconscionable that the Obama administration continues to import 125,000 foreign workers each month. The late Barbara Jordan (D-Texas) stated, "It is both a right and a responsibility of a democratic society to manage immigration so that it serves the national interest." The Democrats are not serving our national interests.

Ah, the birther:

"The only way to stop this ilelgitimte (sic) government is to vote them all out - sure - like that is every (sic) going to happen, adn (sic) they know it."

And the libelous:

"The Dems are merly (sic) the traitors in power at present."

And the militia speaks:

"A civil war is in the works."

What a crowd. All of you, read the simple comment that precedes entry of the anti-spam code: "are you human?"

As with most everything, the American people will complain loudly for a while - then it is all forgotten and the same people are put right back in office "because my guy/gal is good, and yours is bad - so my rep needs to stay in office, but yours needs to go." It will never end under our current system of government, and when obama gets his new gun/ammo laws passed by the illegitimate congress, there will be no stopping anything they want to do. They are banking on Americans having very short memories - and they are right. How can anyone with a conscience vote for a bill when almost 60% of the people oppose it (health care)? Of course they voted for it - don't you understand as with everything they do they know what is best for all of us - too bad what we think or feel. The only way to stop this ilelgitimte government is to vote them all out - sure - like that is every going to happen, adn they know it. Givethem another 3 years, and it will no longer be the America anyone over 30 remembers. Then it will be too late.

If the amnesty passes, you can say adios to your country, of this I am sure.

Who could ever have imagined that we would be attaked from the very people we elect to protect us and by illegal invaders who were allowed in because of political correctness? D.A. King is a hero...so is this lady.

Hooray for Ms. Eberhart! The Dems are merly the traitors in power at present. Many GOPers will consider voting for amensty too if they think they can get away with it.

Great letter

The Dems want the 'illegal' votes. The right wants the 'slave' labor. They sit on their thrones drunk on power as they watch Americans fight it out. It's like a video game to them. Our hopelessness is THEIR win. A civil war is in the works. We have no borders in this country. We have no integrity in our system any more. China owns us. Saudia Arabia is ready to pounce. Greed rules.

RIP America.

The Dems want the votes, the Republicans want the cheap labor. The politicians want the power & they could care less about the American people, or the constitution!!

From our city halls , all the way to the white house- they don't give a hoot what we say-- for instance- last nite @ Smyrna's city council meeting the 'corrupt' mayor Max Bacon got up & walked OUT of the meeting, instead of sitting through 6 minutes ( 6 MINUTES)-of PUBLIC COMMENT!!

They don't work for 'we the people' any longer- it's all about-"how much can you line my pockets with'? Our system is broken. China owns us. Americans better get ready for some trying times.

I totally agree with you. The illegals already have more rights than some americans. Our government is willing to sell us down the river to save a few bucks on cheap labor. It is time for the American people to stand up for their rights and let the politicians know they cannot sell our country out from under us.

The Republicans also pushed amnesty, in fact, Chambliss did not even lose his seat. We can no longer forgive and forget these traitors - we need to get rid of all of them because they only represent special interests and lobbyists, not citizens and taxpayers. Another amnesty will be the end of our country as we know it. We need jobs, not additional third world invaders.

The Democrats want to get this amnesty pushed because they realize that each one of the illegals represent a vote. A vote that will keep them in power. They are all drunk on power. They do not want to help us, they want to help themselves to a lifelong pension, lavish perks and lavish lifestyles. When will everyone see this? Obviously after it is too late and they realize that we have become part of Mexico and are trying to bail them out as well. Thank you politicians.
