Mrs. Dorothy Hitt Garner, 80, of Marietta, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009. Services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. A life-long resident of Cobb County, Mrs. Garner was employed with Skylark Cleaners in Powder Springs for over 20 years and she was also a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marietta. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Garner; sons, Sidney and Doug Garner and a great-granddaughter, Lorelei Radman. Survivors include her sons, Steve Garner of Marietta and Stanley Garner of Douglasville; daughter, Rose Free of Dallas; sisters, Betty Knight of Conyers and Ann Phillips of Austell; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
