Mrs. Ruby New Floyd, age 82, of Austell, died Monday, December 14, 2009. Mrs. Floyd was a member of the First Baptist Church of Austell, and was a retired food services worker with the Cobb County School System. She is survived by two sons, Joe B. Floyd, Jr. and Mike Floyd, of Austell; brother, Ernest New, Jr. of Powder Springs, and sisters, Mary Marler of Marietta, Edith Brown, of Mableton, and Dorothy Bennett of Hiram. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 16th, 2:00 PM, at Davis-Struempf Chapel, Rev. Clyde Wade officiating. Interment will be in Mableton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Austell, 5991 Love St., Austell, GA 30168.
