Mrs. Jane Councilman Jones, age 61 yrs., of Kennesaw, GA., died Saturday, December 12, 2009. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 7:00 pm from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA., with Pastor Dan Guider officiating. Mrs. Jones was a native of Phenix City, ALA. , and was a Sunday School teacher and an accountant for many years in Cobb County. She was a member of Iron Hill Baptist Church, Acworth and is a former member of Acworth First Baptist and Wildwood Baptist, Kennesaw. Surviving are her husband, Gerald Alan Jones, Kennesaw, GA; sons, John Kevin Powell, Fredricksburg, VA and Scott Powell, Jasper, GA; daughter, Rachel Powell, Kennesaw, GA; brothers, John Councilman, Columbus, GA and Bill McBride, Columbus, GA; sisters, Betty Ellis, Columbus, GA and Ann Logan, Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Mason and Madison Powell, Jessica Green and Joshua Smith. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
