WillaVee Weaver Davis, 87, of Marietta, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7, at Central Baptist Church, Marietta, with Reverend John Creech officiating. The body will be at the church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta. Mrs. Davis was born in Ellijay, Georgia, but lived most of her life in Marietta. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Marietta, the Melody Makers Choir, the Dogwood Garden Club and Gideons International. She retired from Kennestone Hospital after 30 years of service and went back to serve as a volunteer. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Davis; 2 daughters, Janie W. Mercure and husband, James, and Janet L. Walker; 3 sons, Jerry L. Weaver and wife, Joy, Jimmy D. Weaver and wife, Nancy and Floyd Steven Weaver and wife, Tammy, all of Marietta; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Davis may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 841, Marietta, GA 30061. God puts angels on earth for all of us. Your mom was one of them. She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. I will miss her very much as I know all of you will. Peace she is at and peace she was.
