Sweet Caroline turned sweet 16. More than 65 friends from Allatoona, Harrison and Kennesaw Mountain High Schools celebrated with Caroline Wetherbee, a junior at Allatoona High, on Nov. 7, dancing the night away at the Kennesaw Mountain Shrine Club.

Black and white photos of Caroline were displayed on a pink and white background. Tables covered in silver and black glitter lame tablecloths were topped with silver chargers with hot pink plates, cups and napkins. In the center of the tables were arrangements of peonies, roses and carnations on a hot pink charger with candles at each table. Pink and black urns with balloons were placed at the head table. A laser light show, fog machine and low lighting made it sparkle with a fun edgy ambience.

Caroline was beautiful in black jersey knit dress with a pleated ivory bodice, cinched at the waist with a satin fuchsia ribbon tie. Her guests enjoyed food from Buffalo's Cafe. They had pink candy bars with pink and fuchsia M&Ms, pink chocolate-covered pretzels, strawberry Whoppers and marshmallows. Her cake was a homemade chocolate marble swirl with butter cream frosting, three stacked double layers with black and fuchsia beading, and a "16" floral topper.

Among the partygoers were Alex Adeli, Nicole Allison, Justin Becker, Natalie Buckshaw, Daniel Cox, Drew Ellingson, Jason Gerrits, Cierra Hardy, Reed Hausser, Reyn Haslam, Emily Hernandez, Sarah James, Jason Johnston, Casey Linch, Chris Murdock and Taylor Smolen.

Caroline is the daughter of Vicki and Terry Wetherbee.

Fashion spotlight of the week: In a black knit skirt and jacket trimmed in gold cording (think St. John) and her vivacious personality she was the party standout: Tammy Cohen of east Cobb.
