Marietta voters last week approved a $25 million parks bond issue. The council set some general guidelines on how the money is to be spent. But do you think those decisions should rest solely with the city council and mayor, or should it act based on the recommendations of a broad-based citizens’ committee that it should appoint?

If these people were so confident in the validity of this bond, why did they hide it on an off-season election cycle that guaranteed minimal turnout? Because it would not have passed.

More wasted taxpayer's money so others can profit. Bonds are for investment and the community is not the reason for this project. We have plenty of parks and they are well maintained. How about more support for our Police and better Teacher pay, instead.
