Mrs. Ruth Askea, age 76, of Villa Rica, GA passed away Friday, October 16, 2009. She was born Oc-tober 8, 1933 in Alpharetta, GA daughter of the late Seldon and Maudie Lois Wright Waters. Mrs. Askea was a retired bus driver with Douglas County School System, and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her son Terry Lee Askea. She is survived by her husband Harold Askea; 8 children, Anthony & Denise Askea, Don & Ada Askea, Kim Cox, Chris & Lourdes Askea, Gregory Askea, Chuck & Beverly Askea, Britt & Nancy Askea, and Timothy Askea; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Chaffin, Flonnie Fox, and Joyce Hutcheson; brothers, Jr. Waters and Chancey Waters. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 2-8 PM. The fu-neral service will be Monday, October 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Bishop Scott Henricksen officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
