Mrs. Evelyn J. Cook, age 87 of Smyrna, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Smyrna with the Rev. Joey Hatchell officiating. Burial will be in the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Emera #160 Two Harbors, MN Chapter. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughter & son-in-law, Carol & David Fields of Farmville, VA; 2 sons & daughter-in-law, John & Joanne Cook of Proctor, MN and Grady Cook of Marietta; sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Walter McKinney of Oromoncto New Brunswick Canada; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; companion pet, Snuggles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna.
