Longtime Cobb resident Brayton Paul celebrated his 90th birthday on Aug. 2, but he's still flying high. On Oct. 4, Paul took a bi-plane ride at BiPLane Adventures, Inc. at McCollum Airport in Kennesaw. The adventure was a birthday gift from his children, Randy Paul and Joy Paul, and granddaughter Megan Warmbrod.

Paul spent most of his working years as a mechanical designer for everything from toaster ovens to railways and airplanes. He worked for McDonnell Douglas in St Louis, Martin in Baltimore and Lockheed in Marietta. Since 1948, Paul has built and flown radio controlled airplanes, and is an RC Flyer in Cobb County.

Paul has been married to Jean Paul for six years and has four children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Thanks for the note on granddaughter Gracie McBride, 11-year old life-long resident at 3270 Autumn Woods Trail, Marietta, 30064, phone 770-427-6515. Worthy of a feature article, in addition to lead role in "The Theater Dragon," she has also been in innumerable area community theater performances plus "The Wizard of Oz" at the Fox. Plus, she is currently Assistant Concert Mistress in the Georgia Youth Symphony (violin), and sings with the Georgia Youth Symphony Chorus. Info on numerous other theater and music performances is available from her mom, Carol, at carol@envisionprinting.com. Proud Granddad, David
