Marion C. Waldrop, 84, of Acworth, passed away Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, 2 p.m. at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Rev. Bob Noffsinger officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park. A transplanted Northerner, Mrs. Waldrop was a resident of Acworth for 50 years. She was a Homemaker and a very loving and giving person. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lon Waldrop. Mrs. Waldrop was of the Baptist faith and a member of Glade Road Baptist Church. Survivors: son, Bill Waldrop and wife Lynn of Acworth; daughter, Dianne Brannon and husband Charles of Acworth; grandchildren, Deanna Marie Starnes and husband, Kelly, Michael Joseph Brannon, Tasha Waldrop, Matthew Waldrop and Tyler Waldrop; great-grandchild, Gabriel McPherson; sisters, Carol Ellingwood of Alabama, Barbara Tracey of Bangor, ME.
