Classy and Sassy was Tina O'Shea at 50, and Aged to Perfection was Sharon Maloney at 60, as they shared a joint surprise birthday party, hosted by Beth Carver and Mary Boswell, at the lovely west Cobb home of Beth and Marc Carver on Sept. 5.

The themed "Grease" party, was attended by gals wearing poodle skirts, monogrammed blouses and polka dots and guys in slicked back hair, white T-shirts, slim jeans and letter jackets.

Attendees incldued: Joe Buchanan, Tom Burke and girlfriend Kayla, Bob Chappell, Sheryl and Ken Cochran, Faye and Tom Downey and daughter Stephanie, Deana and Bruce Dreher, Lila and Craig Hartmann, Dot and Bill Maloney, Brian Maloney and girlfriend Dana, Jay Maloney, Tina Maloney, Karen and Matt Maloney, Sharon and Mark Maloney, Steven Maloney, Nancy and Jack Mangiante, Diane and Ronnie Mercure, Betsy and Tommy Miller, Allie O'Shea, Tina O'Shea and Chuck Mraz, Heather and Richie Prouty and Sean Prouty, Mary Raven, Debbie and Mike Slocum and Melissa Spetnagel.

Out of town guests included: Mary Jo and Rick Prouty of Washington DC area, and Nancy and John Lee of the Asheville area.

The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art celebrated the 100th birthday of their beautiful Greek Revival home off the Marietta Square on Sept. 11. With its groundbreaking in the fall of 1909, the museum building originally housed the post office for 53 years and then the Marietta City Library until 1989.

During the last 20 years MCMA has made its home in the building.

The celebration that included a silent auction and entertainment by local band PRIME drew a huge crowd of local politicians, business people and supporters including: Mayor Bill Dunaway, Linda Flournoy, Elise and Phillip Goldstein, Marcy and Scott Griffin, Steve Imler, Cathy and Richard Kampa, Mary Anne and Ben Mathis, Courtney and Kevin Moore, Dawn McEachern, Linda and Sam Parker, Lark Ingram and Dan Pompilio, Adrian and Jimmy Pressley, Charlotte Simmons and Maura and Bob Wright.
