Mr. Theron Royce "T.R." Locke, a life long resident of Forsyth County, GA passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 after an extended illness. T.R. was born in Forsyth County to Telford Robert Locke and Cleo Bennett Locke on March 15, 1929. Mr. Locke lived a very full and rich life while on earth with us. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a Mason, Scottish Rite and Shriner. When able, and not so able, he worked diligently for the crippled and burned children. His long time friend, Judge Charles Wolford, was his mentor during these years and a great inspiration. Mr. Locke is survived by his wife of 30 years, Raye Borders Locke, and his former wife and good friend, Mary Helen Locke. He is also survived by his seven children and their spouses, Judy Webster (Bev), Deloris Locke, Iantha Jackson (Eddie), Penny Locke, Pam Locke, Denise Martin (David) and Donna McKerrow (Rob); sister and brothers-in-law, Christine and Jim Beatty and Charles Bridges; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Bridges. Special thanks and love to John A. Crunkleton, brother-in-law as well as friend, for all his help during the last five years. Special thanks to a very dear long time friend, Sam Coley who never failed to call and offer cheer and encouragement on a daily basis. Special thanks to his granddaughter, Emily and husband Brad who made a lot of trips back and forth to dialysis with PaPa. Special thanks to Ms. Jean Davis who spent many hours with PaPa while in the nursing home, and many thanks to the team at Southern Regional who gave our family compassion and support during our time of need. We may miss T.R. terribly here on earth, but he couldn't wait to walk through the Eastern Gates. He will be missed by his little angel, Maddie Raye Martin, who he said "God used to pick her up at night and bring her back the next day." We can all know that Mr. Locke is now at peace. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tolbert Moore and Audrey McAleer officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 18th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Pamela J. Locke to the National Foundation for Transplants at 5350 Poplar Ave., Suite 430, Memphis, TN 38119 or made online at www.transplants.org. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.www.ingramfuneralhome.com

I went to high school with Iantha at Sprayberry, I am so sorry for the loss of such a giving man. A man of gift and God! I remember the green mustang that Iantha drove during school that her dad got for her! God's blessings to each of you during this time of loss.
