On Oct. 1, 30 female business leaders and role models will trade in rush hour traffic and brief cases for glitz and glamour to "work it" on the runway.

Town Center at Cobb and the Earl Smith Strand Theatre have teamed up to present Role Models, a fashion show featuring the latest styles on women who have made significant contributions to the community. These fabulous models include educators, elected officials, directors, and business and civic leaders.

"This event promises to be exciting, creative and most important of all, fun for the models and fun for the audience," said Earl Reece, executive director at The Strand. "There are a few surprises in store for the audience, too."

Tickets are $25. VIP tickets are $50 and are limited to only 100 guests for a "Meet the Models" cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception on The Strand's rooftop terrace. The show is at 7 p.m. followed by the VIP reception. Tickets are available at www.EarlSmithStrand.org or (770) 293-0080. Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Gee, Pedro...sounds like you have a grudge or chip on your shoulder. Then again, you might just be a little jealous that you are not the one modeling. Perhaps it is because of your ugly attitude. People like you reach for anything...such a shame!

What? How are they trading in rush hour traffic?

Are they riding the bus from the Square to the mall?

That would be quite admirable and an excellent statement: "Yes, you, too, white women, you can ride the bus! It's not just for poor minorities anymore."
