MARIETTA-The Marietta City school board voted unanimously Tuesday to re-hire a part-time retired occupational therapist for the 2009-10 school year, and hire a general contractor for the renovation work at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy.

Marietta City Schools is considering hiring three consultants for teachers of students with disabilities for a contract of $53,500, and a school psychologist for Marietta High School who will be used to complete evaluations. The estimated cost for the psychologist is $6,500. The salary for the consultants and psychologist would be paid for using Title I Individuals with Disabilities Education Act American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.
