Time to impeach Obama

DEAR EDITOR:

U.S. Rep. Tom Price (R-east Cobb) is at a crossroads. I believe he, of all the people in the U.S. Congress, knows the president of the United States is a one-world socialist and an academic Marxist and he is rapidly transforming our country into a socialist state.

He has ripped the U.S. Constitution to shreds as he nationalized the banks, the auto industry and real estate industry. He has appointed self-admitted communist revolutionaries as "Czars" who report directly to him, bypassing Congress.

He has driven the national debt and deficit to numbers I cannot even comprehend. He is pressing for the nationalization of health care and "cap-and-trade". He is building a "civilian army" (AmeriCorps, ACORN, unions, etc.) to help him turn the country into a collective-style Third World state. He is on the road to destroying our CIA and our ability to defend ourselves against Islamic terrorists.

He has set the wheels in motion to destroy freedom of speech in the form of eliminating conservative talk radio and cable news through his FCC "diversity czar" (a radical communist). He has traveled the world apologizing for the greatness of America.

I cannot believe I spent 25 years in the military fighting the "evil empire" only to end up with a Marxist in the White House.

The hour is late. Price must initiate impeachment proceedings now!

If not Price, who? Or are we all going to sit around and moan until all of our liberty is taken from us and capitalism is destroyed?

Stephen G. Morris

Impeachment requires the House's approval. Since it is controlled by marxists too, Obama's safe to do anything a Democrat could wish for. So, such a threat would be a joke, even if Obama did earn it.

You may know the Czars and the Soviet Regime did not quite get along to put it mildly.

The reason you cannot believe that there is a marxist in the White House is because it is absurd. Glad your service to the USA is over, you can get back to militia training and inciting gun show paranoia. Nice camouflage Sarge!

True, TARP may have been started under Bush, but that is just a small amount compared to what Obama has done in just 9 months. Has anyone looked at the deficit recently - at the unemployment numbers, which are not correct since they do't include people underemplopyed, or whose checks have run out, or who have just quit looking - the foreclosures, manufacturing, consumer spending/confidence? And all this administration can talk aboaut is spending more. Don't have any more to spend - no problem, just print some more. Don't know how old some of you experts are - but I'll bet I am much older than y ou - and I can remember an America which was once proud, full of dreams, ambition and desire, with people who wanted to do it themselves, not rely on the government for a handout. BVut I guess we got what we asked for - remember this statement made by a presidential candidate lastyear "America is the greatest country in the world, and I ask you to join me in changing it". So what should we expect?

The folks who rebut Mr Morris are correct in that no impeachable offense has been committed by the resident of the White House.---yet. However, Obama's every effort is to structure a government of commissars to regulate all activities of the citizens of the USA. He simply has not yet been caught in his dealings with matters that make him impeachable. Over time , the illegal activities of his connections will come to light as they did about ACORN yesterday. His Marxist efforts will rise to an impeachable level.

Americans who love our republic will rise up and seek his resignation.

Oh...I just new this letter would bring out all the kooky-lefty-hopey-changey loons like Huffman and Pedro. Too bad we didn't get some of the same "blame everything on Bush" drivel from ProgressivePeach that Pedro and Huffman supplied. Then we would have been complete. HOWEVER, Mr. Morris' letter is indeed way off base. The narcissistic naivety of this entire Administration is a total disaster AND an economic disaster in the making, and the utter incompetence of Mr. Obama is disappointing, but initiation of impeachment prodeedings is not at all called for. Re-establishing a properly representative Legislative Branch is -- one that seeks good policy, not good politics -- one that actually can think for itself and rein in a runnaway Executive Branch that seeks to create a Banana Republic. That's where to start.

This letter was a joke, right? What's really scary is that this man served 25 years in the military and never got treatment.

Mr. Morris is a complete idiot! First he needs to read the constitution. Then he needs to ask an Americorp volunteer what their program is about. It is certainly no military force.

Pedro,

The TARP was started under Bush, but what your liberal media keeps forgetting to place into your head is the fact that Bush consulted with Obama prior to signing it because he was told by the Federal Reserve Chairman (the one that Obama just reappointed) that the markets would crash and the economy would fail unless he did so. Obama gave his tactic approval. Yet he, and seemingly the rest of the liberal media drones, now want to hide that fact because it gives an easy out (it was Bush's fault) instead of being held accountable.

And btw, I am still trying to figure out who drafts and passes laws to regulate Wall Street? Hmm, was it Bush? oh wait, no, it was Congress, under the brilliant leadership of Barney "Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are doing just fine" Frank and Nancy "Republican efforts to regulate lending standards is a racist attempt at keeping minorities from owning homes" Pelosi.

Give me a break. All of them in Washington are to blame, including Obama who joined 16 other democratic senators to block regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Dear Mr Morris, the TARP was started by Bush, and the FCC does not regulate the content of cable TV, so you can pretty much relax. If you cannot relax, take a pill like Limbaugh.

It's nice to see that the train to Crazytown has arrived so rapidly at the station for Mr. Morris.

Mr Morris, I don't mean to be crass but, are you retarded?

Half the things you cite as evidence that Obama has "shredded" the constitution were in place before he even took office.

TARP bailouts of banks started under Bush. Bush had as many or more "czars" (which is just shorthand for "advisor to the president") than Obama. And those he's appointed are all successful experts in private industries they are advising the president on (hardly communists).

To cry "impeachment" after 8 months in office and no legal basis other than presumed personal history of advisers and ignorance of previous administration's actions just smacks of whining and sore loserdome.

Get over yourself. You are what's wrong with the GOP these days. Baseless charges hinged on sketchy outlines of facts used to smear a new president who is black? I don't blame some for seeing it as racism.

Steve: Please go sit in on a 6th grade civics class where the constitution is being studied and pay attention, and then, maybe you can come back and name 2 or 3 breaches of the constitution that Obama has committed ( not Bush, but Obama, mind you ), that is your assignment.

"He" has ripped the economy to shreds? how?, I think the industries have done that themselves, by building cars nobody wants, and making crappy, time bomb mortgages, reselling to 401k portfolios.

Pull the Limbaugh, Hannity earplugs out of your skull and think for yourself.
