Margie Jane Churchwell, 63 of Kennesaw, died Thursday, September 3, 2009. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Rose Creek Baptist Church in Woodstock. Reverends Bobby Sears & Wayne Wright will be officiating. Mrs. Churchwell will lie in state from 1-2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Churchwell, was an Alpharetta native and lifelong Georgia resident. She was a Baptist and attended Rose Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Chuck Churchwell. Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Churchwell of Kennesaw; 3 sons, Timothy James, Jonathan Michael and Michael James Churchwell; 1 daughter, Tiffany Annette Mathna; 1 sister, Mary Lou Elliott; 1 brother, Gary Wayne Reavis; 2 grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Medford-Peden Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
