Walter Harris Jr. (Geechie), 79, Powder Springs, Homegoing Celebration will be Thursday September 3, 2009 at New Hope Baptist Church, Powder Springs, GA, 2:00 P.M. Rev. Ralph Steed officiating, Interment New Hope Cemetery. He will lie in state at the church at 1:00 P.M. He is survived by wife, Mrs. Ruby Mae Harris; daughter, Jacqueline Hill; son, Walter L. Harris; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Hanley-Shelton Funeral Home.
