Eugene S. Amos, 84, of Marietta died Saturday, August 22, 2009. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Grace Pointe Baptist Church, 505 Atlanta Street, Marietta, GA. Gene was born in Trussville, AL December 10, 1924. At two weeks of age they moved to Bessemer, AL where he lived until High School graduation. Gene was predeceased by his parents E.B. and Effie Bradford Amos, brothers, William M. and James C. Amos, also his beloved grandson, Dustin Truesdell. He had to retire with full disability from Lockheed at age 43 and was Department Manager for the C-5 Wing Mate. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Myrtle Littlefield, children, Wayne and Glen Amos and Judye Truesdell, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Ester Stewart and niece, Barbara Ann McCall.
