High school football in Cobb County is back and that means the Marietta Daily Journal is back in full coverage mode to make sure our readers and viewers are the most informed prep fans anywhere.

Literally. From print, to online ... even "tweeting," the nationally award-winning MDJ sports staff provides the state's most thorough prep football coverage.

Today on our brand-new Web site, the second season of the Cobb Football Friday Web cast debuts with a new studio set. Every Thursday through the end of the season, special assignment reporter Katy Ruth Camp and sports editor John Bednarowski will preview the week's big games with interviews with players and coaches and game highlights.

On Friday morning, fans can pick up the MDJ for the print version of Cobb Football Friday, an eight-page preview section with a story on each game, plus statistics, standings and rankings.

If fans can't make the game on Friday night, they can keep track of all the games with the cobbfootballfriday.com live online scoreboard.

And a new feature this year: Anyone at the game who wants to keep up with scores from around the county can follow Cobb Football Friday on Twitter@CobbFballFri to get live score updates as they happen.

The Saturday MDJ sports section provides complete game coverage as the MDJ's staff of reporters and photographers spreads out over Cobb and the state to give readers a game story and photos for every contest.

Finally on Sunday, return to cobbfootballfriday.com for Bednarowski and the Cobb Football Friday highlight show to see all the highlights you may have missed while attending your favorite team's game.

From start to finish, Cobb Football Friday is the best source for information on Cobb high school football.
