Illegals' advocate trying to demonize his opponents

DEAR EDITOR:

Letter writer Mark Webb ("Don't muddy health fix with anti-illegals hysteria," Friday's MDJ) missed few opportunities to try to associate the crime of illegally entering the United States and illegal aliens with, let's see here: "demonizing a class of humanity," "the internment of 110,000 Japanese ... during World War II," "race prejudice," ill treatment of Chinese in 1882" and ... "slavery."

As an African-American who supports the equal application of American laws - including immigration laws - I am outraged at Webb's transparent adherence to the open borders mob's mindless and insulting talking points. His attempt to compare criminals who steal American jobs, wages and services to the sin of slavery is a step too far.

I am a proud member of the Board of Advisors of the Dustin Inman Society and someone who gladly volunteers time and effort to gain enforcement of existing immigration laws. I also help fight the never ending battle against another legalization program for illegal aliens because I recognize, as does the majority of America, that rewarding illegal behavior only produces more of it.

I share the concern of D.A. King, Congressmen Phil Gingrey, Tom Price, Nathan Deal and others about the fact that while the president is telling us that illegal aliens will not be included in a "public option" of Obamacare, the House Democrats repeatedly vote down amendments that would require verification of eligibility.

I guess that in Webb's world, I am part of a "shady conspiracy." Maybe illegals are too honest to apply for universal health care at taxpayer expense under false pretense?

Webb notes, as King has numerous times, that presently, we are forced to finance medical care for illegals in our emergency rooms. What he doesn't acknowledge is the fact that that requirement was intended for life threatening conditions only ... emergencies.

A visit to any local ER any evening of the week will illustrate the fact that our ERs are now illegally used as de facto free clinics for illegal aliens, emergency or not.

No reasonable person can pretend that without a vigorous verification system, illegals would not easily gain access to whatever taxpayer funded public option total health insurance that were to come out of the liberal minds now in power.

Direct from the far left handbook, Webb's real goal is clear. To demonize anyone who presents questions or information that stands in the way of government controlled health care and amnesty.

Ms. Eberhart should be very grateful to Mr. Webb for the remarks he makes here on her letter. He proves her point as well as she made it.

Game over. Eberhart 100 - Webb zero. He would be funny if he weren't so sad and dangerous.

Mr. Webb should know that not only Cherokee and Cobb are obeying the state law SB 529 by trying to stop rewarding illegals with a business license. Also Gwinnett,Hall, Acworth, marietta, Smyrna....I can go on, but I want to save some for next time I want to get to this character.

I wonder: which laws does Webb approve of and would allow us to support with out being called names.

Golly, this Webb guy really has been sold a bill of goods. He makes no sense, over and over and over again.

I enjoyed reading Inger Eberharts letter, I hope to read more from her and I thank the paper for running both her and Webb. She helps to outline how wrong he is ...over and over and over.

Webb - let me be crystal clear: I am guessing that after you felt the need to comment on your own column 4 times and now to direct additional pablum to a cogizant commentary reply to your mindlessness, you are grooving on the attention si?.

You may want to check out a little program called "Plan de Aztlan" and the notorious National Council of La Raza and check into the political ties that thousands of socialist and ethnic-based open borders groups nation wide boast about. Many of us already have.

If a crazy demented racist sicko were to say that illegal immigration is wrong and is killing our nation, does that mean it is not true?

Inger Eberhart is likely driving you a tad batty, being black and not accepting your party line?

If you would take the time to check out the Dustin Inman Society Website ( and many others) - they do recommend a very simple solution: secure the borders and enforce the laws. Attrition through Enforcement IS A REASONABLE SOLUTION WEBB,

Mr King writes and speaks about it quite often.

You show your true ignorance by continuing to harp on the old "we can't deport them so we must make citizens of them..." silliness. ( BUT:we can deport them - just like they came in - a little at a time)

I am guessing that you don't want that to be true so you are holding your hands over your ears and eyes screaming gibberish like a 5 year-old. King also regularly explains that it is the bankers and the Chamber of Commerce that are at fault here. Pay attention before you crank up the race/hate machine OK?

I am also guessing that Eberhart understands that she has no reason to reply to you.

I have seen King eat your type for lunch in debates...give it a try, lots of Americans would enjoy seeing it again.

One last thing hatemonger: you write: "As an example, individuals whose religious beliefs prohibit them from signing a sworn oath can not start a business in (at least) Cobb and Cherokee county, as that is required on the so-called citizenship affidavit. " Boo-Hoo - ain't the law a bite?

Tell it to what remains oif the Inman family.

Ms. Eberhart,

Let me be crystal clear. It is the rhetoric of this debate (and others) that disgusts me, much as the rhetoric of racist hate groups is revolting to most Americans. I understand, as well, that to get attention to an issue like broken borders (yes, I believe that is a real issue), extremity is sometimes needed. This has gone too far, though. The racist groups have now embraced your cause--that is a fact. If you'd like to debate that, have at it; I'll just point you to hundreds, if not thousands, of websites and organizations that prove my point.

I make no apologies for the undocumented, but if one looks at the "why" that they are here, it is clear that the business interests who hire them are central. And if you care to ask "what do we do now," offer realistic solutions. Don't suggest mass deportation--or worse.

And take an honest look at the impact of your SB529 on our First Amendment rights. You might be surprised at just what has been given up. As an example, individuals whose religious beliefs prohibit them from signing a sworn oath can not start a business in (at least) Cobb and Cherokee county, as that is required on the so-called citizenship affidavit. And the misunderstandings at the county level over SAVE led one civil servant to advise me that US Citizens would be run through SAVE!

I have zero tolerance for the hatred that has been infused into today's issues, of which health care and immigration are but two. Lee Atwater would be proud of you all.

Our system is not broken, it is just not enforced. We cannot have either peace or prosperity unless we are a sovereign nation with secure borders. Thank you Ms. Eberhart for putting the needs of citizens before those of corporate facists and corrupt politicians. The Chamber of Commerce and the ACLU and SPLC are the enemies of our nation.

How dare you smear the people who smear the Illegals rather than the Government that broke the immigration system!

A breath of fresh air! I am another African American who has had more than enough of these illegal alien apologists using the slavery Black experience to defend illegal immigration. I was for Obamacare before I started hearing that there was no verification on illegals getting acccess to increased coverage.

Ms. Eberhart says it perfectly here. Mr Webb's letter was insulting.

Thank goodness for Ms. Eberhart - and her sanity. Reading letters from newspapers all over the nation, it is easy to see many others like the one from Mark Webb last week. His sickening smearing of opponnets of illegal immigration and Obamacare is widespread and they all seem to contain the same silly talking points. As is they were all written by the same person. Or party.

Hooray for Inger Eberhart and hooray for D.A. King.
