Local jeweler honored with award

Cumberland Diamond Exchange Shop Manager and Master Jeweler Patrick O'Brien was recently awarded the 2009 Scholarship Award by the Twenty-Four Karat Club of the Southeastern United States. The black tie event took place Aug. 8 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

O'Brien was chosen to receive the Jewelers Award due to his desire to further his education and attain personal achievement.

Cumberland Diamond Exchange is located at 2800 Cumberland Boulevard in Smyrna.
