Jeanne Cash Bridges Kuhn, 79, died Sunday, August 9, 2009, at home after a brief bout with cancer. She will be remembered during a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at First Baptist Church Marietta with Reverend Mark Barbour and Reverend Dean Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. Jeanne has been a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She has always been there for her family during birthdays, graduations, weddings, and life. She's traveled across the miles to attend family events. She taught Sunday School for second graders for years at First Baptist Marietta. She set an example for missions through her love of Women's Missionary Union and all of its functions. She was a prayer warrior for family, friends, and missionaries. She gave of her time and resources to missions efforts across the states and in international venues. She had a card ministry (birthday, encouragement, special occasions, get well cards) that extended over 50 years. She touched lives wherever she went. She now has gone on to meet her Savior face to face and we who love Jesus will see her again! Jeanne Cash Bridges Kuhn is preceded in death by her first husband, T. Nelson Bridges. She is survived by her husband, Charles Kuhn of Marietta; by three daughters and their husbands, Debra & Terry Mattingly of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Diane & Homer Rose of Marietta, and Donna & Jeffrey Thompson of West Columbia, South Carolina. Two sons and their wives, Tom & Cindy Bridges of Orlando, Florida and Ralph & Gwen Kuhn of Mableton; 11 grandchildren, Nicki Bridges of Orlando, Florida, Tanya & Todd Bloker of Grayslake, Illinois, Jamie & Dan Coggeshall of West Palm Beach, Florida, Ray & Jenni Bridges of Plantation, Florida, Sarah Mattingly and Frye Mattingly of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Brandon & Laura Andrews of Marietta, Vinita Andrews of Statesboro, Ben Andrews of Marietta, Larry & Adrianna Kuhn of Douglasville, and Jeff & Beth Kuhn of Marietta; 8 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Bridges of Orlando, Florida, Preston and Parker Coggeshall of West Palm Beach, Florida, Courtney, Joey, and Connor Bridges of Plantation, Florida, and Justin, Jacob & Emily Kuhn of Douglasville. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta.
