MARIETTA - Theatre in the Square, the professional theater off of Whitock Avenue on the Marietta Square, has announced its upcoming 2009-10 season. Nine shows are on the schedule, with a few holiday shows that have become tradition for the theater.

"For 27 years, we've been delivering to audiences what they've repeatedly told us they come back for - engaging variety," said Palmer Wells, co-founder and producing director. "This season is no exception. It's got works that are fresh, scary, hilarious, poignant and inspiring - all bound to just as wide a range of emotions."
